Roland Pechtold joining the board of HyET Solar as CEO
February 1, Roland Pechtold assumed the role of CEO of HyET Solar. In 2024, HyET Solar will inaugurate its new production facility in Arnhem, with further expansion on the horizon. The company is in the process of transitioning from product development to commercial deployment, and Roland Pechtold play a key role in leading this process.

Today, February 1, Roland Pechtold assumed the role of CEO of HyET Solar, joining the board. HyET Solar specializes in the development and manufacturing of Powerfoil™, an ultra-thin, lightweight, and fully flexible solar foil, produced at its factory in Arnhem. Powerfoil is well-suited for surfaces with limited load capacity, such as distribution center or factory roofs, as well as curved surfaces such as those found on airports or iconic buildings.
Following the successful introduction of Powerfoil in pilot projects worldwide, the company is poised for the next phase in its development. In 2024, HyET Solar will inaugurate its new production facility in Arnhem, with further expansion on the horizon. The company is in the process of transitioning from product development to commercial deployment, and Roland Pechtold play a key role in leading this process. Founder Rombout Swanborn will serve as co-director, focusing on international expansion and the continuous development of HyET Solar's Powerfoil. Ferdy Dautzenberg completes the three-member management team as CFO.
Rombout Swanborn conveyed his satisfaction with the progress stating, "I am very pleased that, after years of investment, HyET Solar is now entering the next phase of international growth. Per vandaag, 1 februari, is Roland Pechtold toegetreden tot het bestuur van HyET Solar als CEO. HyET Solar ontwikkelt en produceert Powerfoil™, een flinterdun, lichtgewicht en volledig flexibel zonnefolie in haar fabriek in Arnhem. Powerfoil is zeer geschikt voor oppervlaktes met een beperkt draagvermogen zoals daken van distributiecentra of fabriekshallen, en voor gebogen oppervlakten zoals bij vliegvelden of iconische gebouwen.
Na de succesvolle introductie van Powerfoil in pilotprojecten wereldwijd, is het bedrijf nu klaar voor de volgende fase in haar ontwikkeling. In 2024 zal HyET Solar haar nieuwe productiefaciliteit in Arnhem in gebruik nemen, met verdere expansie in het vooruitzicht. Het bedrijf zit daarmee midden in de transitie van productontwikkeling naar commerciële uitrol. Roland Pechtold zal zich met name richten op dit proces. Oprichter Rombout Swanborn zal zich als mededirecteur gaan bezighouden met de internationale expansie en continue doorontwikkeling van HyET Solar’s Powerfoil. De driehoofdige directie wordt gecompleteerd door Ferdy Dautzenberg als CFO.
Rombout Swanborn: “ik ben zeer verheugd dat na jarenlange investeringen HyET Solar nu de volgende fase in gaat van internationale groei.
